Lee University Symphony Orchestra to Present Fall Concert
Cleveland, TN (10/05/2026) —
The Lee University Symphony Orchestra, directed by Dr. Leonardo Rosario, will present its fall concert on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Pangle Hall.
The concert will feature "Overture to Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg" by Richard Wagner, "Roman Carnival, Op. 9" by Hector Berlioz, "La Nuit et l'Amour" from "Ludus pro Patria" by Augusta Holmes, "The Bamboula, Op. 75" by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, and "Russian Easter Festival, Op. 36" by Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov.
"Offering a rich tapestry of drama, romance, and celebration, this performance showcases the incredible spectrum of orchestral color," said Rosario, assistant professor of strings. "Our students have poured extraordinary technique and passion into mastering these demanding masterworks, and we cannot wait to share this unforgettable night of music with our community."
The Lee University Symphony Orchestra is composed of select instrumentalists and performs a range of major works including operatic, choral, and large-scale symphonic repertoire.
An internationally accomplished performer, Rosario has appeared as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player in more than 10 countries. In recent years, he has expanded into conducting, working with youth and community ensembles to foster artistic collaboration and growth. He earned his Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of North Carolina, a Master of Music from the Boston Conservatory, and a Bachelor of Music from Sao Paulo State University.
The concert is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public. Livestream viewing will also be available at leeu.live.
