Lee's School of Music to Present Annual Faculty Gala

Cleveland, TN (09/15/2026) —

Lee University's School of Music will present the Faculty Gala featuring Lee's vocal and instrumental faculty on Monday, Sept. 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Pangle Hall.

"The Faculty Gala is a wonderful opportunity for our students, colleagues, and the broader Cleveland community to hear the exceptional artistry of the musicians who teach and mentor on our campus every day," said Dr. Jesse McConnell, director of music events at Lee University. "The program reflects the remarkable breadth of our faculty, from beloved works in the classical repertoire to compelling music by more recent voices, as well as original compositions by our music faculty."

The Gala will showcase a variety of vocal and instrumental pieces, featuring composed works by J.S. Bach, Johannes Brahms, Valerie Coleman, Antonin Dvorak, and Richard Strauss, among others.

The vocal performances will feature Delores Beery, mezzo-soprano; Dr. Ron Brendel, tenor; Dr. Lenena Brezna, soprano; Ivy Drake, soprano; and James Frost, tenor.

The instrumental performances will be presented by Dr. Amy Humberd, clarinet; McConnell, tuba; Dr. David Mosher, piano; Dr. Austin Patty, violin; Shawn Perkinson, electric guitar; Dr. Jessica Piso, flute; Dr. Leonardo Rosario, violin; Mary Beth Wickes, piano; Amy Wu, piano; Alan Wyatt, saxophone; Dr. Julia Zalusky, oboe; and Mathew Zalusky, piano.

This concert is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public. Doors will open at 7 p.m. Livestream viewing will be available at leeu.live.
