Lee to Welcome Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Brass Quintet in Concert

Cleveland, TN (10/16/2026) — On Friday, Oct. 23, Lee University's School of Music will host the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera (CSO) Brass Quintet. The concert will take place at 7 p.m. in the Squires Recital Hall, located in the Humanities Building.

"The School of Music is excited to welcome the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Brass Quintet to campus," said Dr. Jesse McConnell, director of music events at Lee. "We're grateful for our continued collaboration with our friends at the CSO, which allows us to bring world-class musicians and performances to the Cleveland community."

The CSO was the nation's first combined professional resident symphony and opera company, merging in 1985. The CSO is managed by a full-time administrative staff and a dedicated group of volunteers, with Ilya Ram serving as music director designate. They perform at venues throughout the greater Chattanooga area as well as at schools and community events. The CSO performs for, and collaborates with, over 200 community partners each season, including schools, hospitals, libraries, and local celebrations.

The Friday evening concert is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public.
